Text'N Hurley makes winning look easy

Jul 10, 2013

COLIN Little's vacation in Europe became all the more enjoyable when Text'N Hurley posted an impressive win in today's Bendigo RSl Maiden Plate at Bendigo.
Apprentice Ben Knobel predicted a promising future for Text'N Hurley, which exploded away from her rivals over the concluding stages.
Knobel admitted he was surprised just how quickly the filly accelerated when asked.
"Her sprint was really strong and much better than I thought it would be," Knobel said.
"She was very smart. I expected her to win, but not like that. That was very impressive, I think she has a very brig future.
"She has been screaming out for the 1400 metres, but she put the race beyond doubt very quickly."
Little has a talented filly to work with when he returns next week.
Text'N Hurley, backed from $5 to $4.60, drew clear to win by four and a quart lengths from Gemset, $7, with a head to Street Connection, $61, third.
Dubonet, a drifter from $1.80 to $2.25, finished fourth, just behind the placegetters, but she never looked a winning chance.
