Miss Softhands returns a winner at Sale

Dec 11, 2015

Bel Esprit mare Miss Softhands easily won her first race back after being off the scene for the past eight months due to hoof problems. For a 6yo mare she is very lightly raced having only had 11 starts for 3 wins and 5 placings. She won her first two races way back in 2012 before winning a trial by 12lengths only to have been injured by a riderless horse and then spending a month in hospital and a further six months off the track.

Colin took her to Sale to get her back on the winning scene and well ridden by Noel Callow, she duly saluted by almost 3l. He will now look for a suitable race in town, which should make her very patient owners happy, as they deserve to see her winning and showing her true ability.

Her win keeps the Lord Lodge winning strike rate at 50% from the past eight starters.
