Ista Kareem win at Moonee Valley
Monday, 30 March 2009: Colin is considering a Sydney Cup start for Ista Kareem following his thrashing of lesser rivals at Moonee Valley on Friday night.
The rising nine-year-old ran over 3000m at Moonee Valley last Friday and after racing at the tail throughout circled the field and careered away with an effortless six length win.
The win followed his Launceston Cup placing, when beaten a length, behind subsequent Adelaide Cup winner Zavite, then a close-up second, beaten a neck, in the Roy Higgins Quality behind another Sydney Cup aspirant Renewable.

Blutigeroo Wins Canberra Cup
Sunday, 30 November 2008: Classy Victorian stayer Blutigeroo regained top form today to win the $200,000 Kennards Hire Canberra Cup (2000m) in course record time.
Trained at Caulfield by Colin Little and ridden by Sydney-based Nash Rawiller, Blutigeroo's improvement was anticipated as he landed a confident long priced betting plunge, firming from $15 to start at $9.
Blutigeroo had almost 12 months off after he ran in the 2007 Melbourne Cup with Little now looking at a range of summer options for the flashy seven-year-old chestnut.

ISTA KAREEM CLAIMS LAUNCESTON CUP
Rejuvenated jockey Danny Brereton sought the local advice of long-time friend and fellow rider Stephen Maskiell to help him win Wednesday's Group Three Launceston Cup (2400m) on topweight Ista Kareem.
Ista Kareem charged to the front soon after straightening and raced away to win the 2400m race by 1-3/4 lengths from Lady Atire who ran on from last, and Our Dashing Dane, who raced wide and finished two lengths away.
"It wasn't the strongest Launceston Cup ever but I'm very happy to win it," Little said.
Last year Little trained the quinella in the Hobart Cup when Blutigeroo beat Rubijon but after returning to Melbourne neither came back for the Launceston Cup.
Ista Kareem has won four of his 12 starts since joining Little's stable last winter following the retirement of former Adelaide trainer Jeremy Gask.

EL SEGUNDO TAKES OUT THE COX PLATE
A horse whose name means "the second" became Australia's number one galloper.
At his second attempt to win the country's best race, El Segundo ($7) cruised home in Saturday's Cox Plate at Moonee Valley, earning his owners who include a Wimbledon tennis champion $1.8 million.
For trainer Colin Little, the former carpenter who almost gave the game away a few years ago, the win capped a career that until on Saturday had been a modest one.
"I decided a while back that I really had to give it a good go," Little said.
"So I got stuck in and we came up with a horse like this.
"He's changed my life."
El Segundo sprinted to the lead halfway up the Moonee Valley straight and was going away on the line where he was two lengths clear of Wonderful World ($41).
